Attending a party is fun. You dress up, you go to the party, you eat, drink, and dance, and you come home to kick off your heels and go to sleep. But do you know how much effort goes into arranging the party that you just enjoyed?
Putting together a party, especially a large-scale, outdoor one, is no mean feat. It requires days of planning, haggling with vendors, and lots of running around from one place to the other in order to get things done in time. You have to arrange EVERYTHING, from the tent to the theme, to make a party a success.
If you’re planning on throwing a party, be it a birthday party, a bridal shower, or a corporate function, it can be seriously overwhelming to do everything on your own, especially if you don’t have a to-do list to follow. Imperial Event Rentals has compiled a checklist of everything you need to get done before the big day.
Decide on a Location and Guest List
You need to have a rough estimate of how many people you are going to invite to your party to decide on the location. The location needs to complement the theme you are going for, must be beautiful, well within your budget, and spacious enough to accommodate your guest list.
Arrange a Party Tent
Once your location is finalized, you need to select the perfect tent to use for your event. Again, the tent must be big enough to hold all your guests. There are plenty of rental companies that rent out tents for birthdays, weddings, and the likes. Rent Chairs and Tables
Your guests need a place to sit, relax, and eat. And thus comes another important essential of your party planning checklist: tables and chairs. There are many styles and designs of tables and chairs available, and you should pick one based on the theme of the party and your budget. While plastic chairs and tables might be good enough for a birthday party, they won’t go with a corporate event, so choose wisely and accordingly.
Rent Table Linen and Utensils
The tables and chairs are here, but you can’t present them as is to the guests! Table linens and chair coverings are used to hide any defects in the pieces and also give the furniture a more regal look, and also make it complement the theme of your party. For a white and pink themed wedding, you can rent a white table and chair linen with pretty pink bows.
Arrange Food and Drinks
Decide if you want to go for a casual snacks and drinks bar, or serve a proper lunch or dinners. You will have to hire chefs and caterers to provide the food for your event. Decide on an appropriate menu and hire caterers who are willing to cook in bulk for your party.
Set up the Décor
The décor is what makes or breaks the party. Now that all the functional stuff is out of the way, you can decide on the décor of the party to make it look aesthetically appealing. You can decorate the entrance, to make a grand first impression, or you can set up a photo booth where the guests can have their pictures taken to put up on their socials. The décor must be in line with the theme of the event, and appropriate for the occasion.
