How much does it cost to rent plates for a wedding?

At Imperial Event Rental, our plate rental prices (in the vast majority of cases) are the following: $1.50 for the Dessert Plate, $2.00 for the Salad Plate, $2.50 for the Dinner Plate and $4.35 for the Charger Plate. However, some dinnerware styles, like the Mystique, the Melamine, the Eclipse Dessert Plate, the Bone Petal and the Black Petal collections, have different prices: $1.00 for the Dessert Plate, $1.25 for the Salad Plate and $1.50 for the Dinner Plate.

We even have a few collections that come at even lower prices and include other products like the Coffee Saucer and the Coffee Cup. This is the case of the Square, the Squircle, the Silver Rim, the Gold Ring and the White Collections (the last one even includes the Soup Bowl and the Pasta Bowl).

What’s the difference between tableware and serveware?

Tableware encompasses everything used to set a table and serve food. It includes dinnerware, glassware or drinkware, flatware or silverware and serveware. Serverware, on the other hand, is anything that helps serve and present food, like platters and pitchers. To sum it up, tableware is the main category in which serveware is included.

The amount of plates to rent for a wedding depends on the number of guests you are inviting; it's not always the same for every ceremony. It also depends on how many courses you are serving, since your guests should have a different plate for each course. One important advice we can give is to always get extra plates, in case some break or in case you get unexpected guests.
